The Medical and Evacuation Silver Plan is embedded in the cost of every expedition and all participants are automatically enrolled. The Gold Plan is an optional level of coverage for those participants seeking trip cancellation/interruption insurance on their planned expedition.
At this time, our included medical and evacuation insurance is available for U.S. and Canadian (excluding Quebec) residents only. For travelers coming from outside the U.S., we recommend purchasing supplemental insurance through providers such as Medex.
Preferred Benefits Silver Plan
Medical Expense – $100,000
Emergency Medical Evacuation – $1,000,000
Covers: medical expenses incurred within one year of an injury or sickness that first occurs during your Trip; emergency dental treatment by a dentist during your Trip; evacuation and transportation as directed by a physician to the nearest adequate medical facility, and/or to your home; expenses for a Physician recommended escort; or in the event of death, transportation of your remains home.
Trip Cancellation– up to 100% of insured Trip Cost
Trip Interruption – up to 125% of insured Trip Cost
Trip Delay – $1000
Baggage Loss – $1000
Baggage Delay – $100
Accidental Death & Dismemberment – $25,000
