Roberto was initially going to become an engineer, but lucky for you (and us), his love of nature and outdoor education drove him to become a guide. With twelve years guiding experience, he is a well-respected guide in Torres del Paine. Roberto is very passionate about Patagonia and has a vast knowledge of birds.
Marcela Ibieta | Lead Guide
Marcela is a naturalist guide with over 12 years experience guiding groups throughout Chile. Marcela is our lead guide in Chile’s Lakes District where the mountains, snow capped volcanoes, glaciers and pristine lakes are all part of a day’s work. She is passionate about flora and fauna and teaches environmental awareness to communities surrounding Vicente Perez Rosales National Park in Northern Patagonia.
Sabine Carolina Barrios Schilling | Lead Guide
Born in Venezuela, Sabine has spent many years traveling the world visiting and working in various countries. She currently lives in Puerto Natales and has spent the past five years working as a guide in several fields including trekking and horseback riding. Through all her travels, she has found Patagonia to be the most incredible place to live. Sabine is one of our amazing guides leading treks in Torres del Paine!
Jorge Colivoro | Assistant Guide
Jorge has spent time working in Torres del Paine as both a guide and a ranger. He is very interested in the geology and glaciology of the region and has been able to work with various archaeologists and documentary makers in the park. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of Chilean folklore, playing chess, and cracking jokes.
Javier Silva | Assistant Guide
Javier moved to Santiago to study business but soon decided to follow his real passion: adventure travel. Since a young age, Javier has loved to spend time connected with nature and the mountains were a huge part of his childhood. He has spent time traveling in Chile and abroad, where he has made great friendships with many adventure-minded people. Join Javier in the Lakes Region of Chile!
