Langtang Journey Expedition

Intermediate adventures require that you are at least at an average fitness level. Activities will be mandatory and occasionally physically demanding. Experience in this sport is recommended.
Departure Dates
This expedition includes 7 days of trekking, 2 nights’ accommodation in the capital city of Kathmandu, and 1 night accommodation in the trail head village of Syabru Besi.
Day 1: We pick you up at the airport. Arrive in Kathmandu and check into our OneSeed partner lodge in the heart of the ancient city of Patan. Catch up on some much needed sleep and venture out for some dinner on your own.
Inclusions: Private airport transfer; accommodations
Day 2: Spend the day exploring the Kathmandu Valley. Shake the jetlag with a visit to Swayambhunath, the “Monkey Temple”. Take in the views of the city from atop one of the most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner banquet.
Inclusions: Breakfast (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water, juice, soft drinks); guided tour; welcome dinner (vegetarian option available); accommodations
Day 3: Travel by bus to Syabru Besi, trailhead of the Langtang region.
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water), transportation, park entrance fee, trekking permit, accommodations.
Day 4: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2769m). Ascend past the bridge over the Langtang Khola. Keep an eye out for langur monkeys, water falls, cactus forests and towering oak trees. After a brief descent at the end of the day, arrive at the village of Changtang, popularly known as Lama Hotel.
Approximately 6-7 hours of trekking
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); accommodations.
Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3330m). Begin your day with a gentle ascent but the trail gets steeper as the trek progresses. Climb through forests of rhododendron, maple, and oak. You are welcomed to the village with fluttering prayer flags, Tibetan style architecture, mani stone walls, roaming yaks and golden barley fields.
Approximately 5 hours of trekking
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); accommodations.
Day 6: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gumpa (3730m). The trail wanders through Langtang Village before making a gentle ascent past the pocket of Tamang settlements and yak pastures. After three hours of walking, reach Kyanjin Gompa. Enjoy the entire afternoon to acclimatize and explore the surroundings. For a special treat, check out the cheese factory just north of Hotel Yala Peak.
Approximately 3 hours of trekking
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); accommodations.
Day 7: Rest day in Kyanjin Gumpa (3730m).
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); accommodations.
Day 8: Kyanjin Gumpa to Rimche (2410m). Begin your descent to Rimche, passing through scattered forests and along the flowing creeks and streams of the valley.
Approximately 4-5 hours of trekking
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); accommodations.
Day 9: Rimche to Syabru Besi. Return to the trailhead and enjoy a relaxing evening with tea, rest, and a good book.
Approximately 5-7 hours of trekking
Inclusions: All meals (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); accommodations.
Day 10: Travel by bus from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu. Join your fellow expedition members for a farewell dinner and plenty of toasting.
Inclusions: Breakfast, lunch, (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water, juice, soft drinks), transportation, farewell dinner, accommodations.
Day 11: International flights depart.
Inclusions: Breakfast (Choice of 2 options including vegetarian, coffee, tea, water); airport transfers.

If you cancel 60 days or more prior to your scheduled departure for this adventure then you will be able to reschedule or be reimbursed the full cost of this adventure net the non-refundable deposit of $1000.00. If any cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to your scheduled departure for this adventure then you will lose the complete value of your experience.
Refund Policy
If your adventure must be canceled due to circumstances outside of your own (e.g. weather or size of party), we will work with you to reschedule for no extra fees. If rescheduling is not possible, you will be reimbursed the total amount of your purchase, net a 20% administrative fee.
