Maheshwori Maharjan lives in Thecho, Lalitpur. Thecho is one of the more underdeveloped areas of Lalitpur. She lives with her extended family, her father-in-law, mother-in-law, husband and her daughter. Her husband, Mr. Rajendra Maharjan, is engaged in making religious statues. Mrs. Maharjan opened her tailoring shop eight years ago after six months of training in tailoring from a local tailoring shop. She tailors and sews a variety of clothing ranging from traditional garments to children’s apparel.
